Think! Make? Perfect.

Anything we create has a super simple flow to it.

Think.
Make.
Perfect.

You start out with an idea.
The idea forms in your mind,
the think part.

Then comes the make part.
You turn the idea into something,
an email, sketch, design or little app.

From there you look at the result,
you start to perfect.

You start to re-think,
and re-make.

You look again and again,
in smaller and bigger loops,
an endless cycle.

And through thinking, reflecting, iterating, remaking
you perfect.
You perfect the thing you make,
and the skill of creating it

Here is the tricky bit;
wherein lies the craft?

We ascribe a painters craft to his mastery of the brush,
a software engineer to his mastery of the code

But what if you do not need the skill of operating a brush to make a painting?
What if you do not need the skill of code wizardry to be build an app?

Over time we will come to rely less on making skills,
but creating skills will become more prevalent

Over time those versed with AI can do so many more iterations,
of thinking, making, perfecting
they will surpass in talent and creativity,
as craftsmen,
the craftsmen we’ve always only praised for their making skills

What makes a craftsmen?

I believe it is the art of knowing what to do, and what not to.
The art of a good eye, a good intuition.
An imaginative brain.
