The AI assisted design sprint

I facilitate design sprints. Sessions to bring together teams on a vision of the future. Brainstorming a problem together, but more importantly, brainstorming a solution together.

The beauty of this is the envisioning, together. By together breaking apart a problem, proposing and agreeing on a solution, then almost visually “seeing” a solution emerge, you get a team that is motivated, and is aligned.

That process is so fun to facilitate. It is tough, but so much fun.

But one of the bottlenecks always is making the abstract concrete. You can only get so far with clustering post-its.

That’s where I ran into the last bit of Ian Beacraft’s talk about “the future of an AI powered workforce”.

He actually did an AI assisted design sprint. Where the solution and envisioning was assisted by AI, to actually create visualisations of vision. Generating little ‘vignettes’, as he puts it, to give a glimpse into the future.
