Nuclear power has always been a governmental thing.
Strictly regulated. Due to the risks.
And for decades it has been high contested.
But something interesting is happening.
While there is not yet a definite push from citizens and politicians to shift to build nuclear.
There is now a decisive driver of new nuclear power stations: data centres.
Microsoft, Google and Amazon are actively investing in nuclear energy. And keep in mind this is not a short-term investment.
The benefits of cloud, AI and cloud data processing are apparently so big as to justify a business case for nuclear power stations.
