Flexible rules

Rules guide us, but they’re most effective when they bend.

We create rules for ourselves—when to wake up, when to stop working, when to exercise. They serve as reminders of what brings lasting fulfilment.

But rules shouldn’t be rigid. They’re guardrails, not constraints.

In the past, I treated them as absolutes. That became limiting.

Treat rules as lessons learned from the past. Guardrails to get you back on track.
